Georgiana is raising funds for the Lupus Foundation of America and their research on finding a cure for Lupus.

Lupus is an autoimmune illness that has debilitating consequences, where a person’s own immune system inappropriately attacks tissues in various parts of the body.

As many as 1 in 250 people may develop Lupus. If you would like to support this cause you can make a donation or check out our facebook page for ways you can help raise awareness.

Beautiful trauma

A fresh perspective on the daily realities of life with Chronic Illness from the desk of an unconventional author.

From a life beginning with early trauma and being orphaned, to the daily challenges of living with chronic illness, I know resilience.

I am passionate about writing illuminating content on living with a purpose and awareness on chronic illness for survivors and their support networks.

I am the author of ‘My Beautiful Trauma’, an autobiography of my journey as an orphan and living with chronic illness.

About

I was adopted from Romania in 1990, rejected by her adoptive family, diagnosed with SLE Lupus undergoing severe treatment. I suffered a stroke at 22. My journey is trying to figure out where I belong.

When I tell people my story, I'm always told that I have a lot of resilience. According to the Oxford dictionary resilience means “the capacity to recover from trauma”.

My life has been full of events that will challenge many and hopefully provide you with a whole new meaning to the definition of resilience.
